The use of wind power to produce electricity is a hot topic promoted by environmental movements. It so happens that my father, Pierre Jean Cavey (†), an engineer at the Bureau d'Etudes Scientifiques et Techniques (BEST) created by Lucien Romani, was in charge of the Station d'Etude de l'Energie du Vent at Nogent-Le-Roi from 1956 to 1960. I thought I was doing a useful job in creating this site, which brings together unpublished photos and technical data collected by Pierre Jean Cavey over fifty years ago. The information published on this site comes from my father's archives and memory. Please excuse the quality of the photographs: except for some of them, all are amateur photos taken with the means of the time. |
